While attending the Fashion Institute of Technology as a full-time fashion design major, Palu interned at Vera Wang RTW and Vera Wang Bridal, assisted in the fashion closet of ELLE magazine and worked as a front desk receptionist at a NYC hair salon. Right out of school, he jumped into the fashion industry as an Assistant Designer for the shoe company Sam Edelman. He then competed on season 10 of Project Runway as a Finalist where he won four challenges, including: the Rockettes costume, the Lord and Taylor gown and the Babies­ R­ Us dress. After making it to the finale and showing at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, Palu finished in fourth place. From there, he entered back into the fashion industry as a freelance designer for the brand Haute Hippie. Palu took a brief hiatus from HH to compete on Season 3 of Project Runway Allstars where he finished fourth place. After the competition Palu consulted at Elie Tahari for a year after, as the Fur and Leather designer working directly with Mr.Tahari. In 2016, Palu gained his first investor and was able to finally launch CHRISTOPHER PALU NEW YORK. He has shown at every NYFW since and has caught the eye of many in the industry. Palu is concentrating on expanding his brand while taking private commissions.
