"Two Eagle Feathers" I hand painted and turned into a digital print design. The eagle feather was used as blessings before we left our house as a little child and we still use them today. Bringing truth, knowing who we are. Walking the earth with grace and not bringing shame to oneself, home, village, town, state, United States or human race, because the gifts of nature aren't for one person but are for all living things.
I use a lot of nature in my designs, because I feel that as Native we're misinterpreted as savages and heathens or we don't exist at all! Our religion is the understanding of all living things, botany, Eco system and astrology. This brought the traditions of family participation of ceremonies, hunting, gathering, farming, traveling, trades, medicine, celebrations, dancing, singing and spiritual guidance into a world that we can't see with naked eye but our spiritual leaders could. Respecting knowledge of who we are, not having ego or greed but pride and sharing. We are still here today, embracing what we have left.
